In this valley there are the suggestive Franciscan Sanctuaries of Greccio, La Foresta, Poggio Bustone and Fontecolombo, set in the green of the woods, and along the way the Beech of San Francesco in Rivodutri and all around the peaks of Terminillo. From the Piediluco lake you go up along the Valnerina, touching the characteristic villages of Arrone, Ferentillo and Ceselli. After passing the relief of Monteluco, where the Sacred Wood and the Franciscan Sanctuary stand, you arrive in the Spoleto Valley. The route winds along the sweet Umbrian valley with its villages rich in art and beauty: Spoleto, Poreta, Trevi, Foligno and Spello. The landscape of Italy reaches peaks of beauty and the cultivated countryside then offers local products linked to the history of the places to the pilgrim. The journey takes place in Assisi.
