Since February 2010, what was once a single company, Bar La Valle sas, has been divided into two separate companies, both still managed by the Angeloni family: LA CRESCIA SNC and BAR LA VALLE SAS.
Bar La Valle is located in S.S. Contessa n°20, 06024 Gubbio (PG). It is a bar and restaurant open all year round, where you can taste excellent wine while sampling typical cheeses and cured meats and regional cuisine. The place is very characteristic, it is located along the road that connects Umbria to Marche and is one of the busiest roads where both heavy vehicles and families heading to the sea pass, the Ss Contessa. At weekends it is very popular with families and holidaymakers who stop for a short break. During the week it is a destination for truck drivers and workers.
Bar La Valle is a restaurant with a very simple but complete menu that combines traditional Umbrian cuisine with the authenticity of the products. The typical dish is Crescia di Gubbio, a pizza made with water and flour and stuffed with local cured meats, vegetables and cheeses. The most popular menu has remained the crescia stuffed with meats cooked directly on the grill. The restaurant has been managed since 1994 by the Angeloni family who runs the restaurant with passion and great hospitality for their customers.

Opera Lo Zafferano is a brand of Essenze srl, a company from Gubbio that produces top-quality saffron and honey and products with Opera Lo Zafferano saffron (Saffron Honey, Saffron Olive Oil, Saffron Dark Chocolate, Saffron White Chocolate, Almond and Saffron Tozzetti, Saffron Caciotta Cheese, Chickpea, Truffle and Saffron Sauce); sells in Italy cosmetic creams with Saffron essential oil (Day Cream, Night Cream, Eye Contour, Serum, Mask – all products in the Men’s Line and Women’s Line versions -, creams to lighten and soften the skin of the intimate parts).
Essenze Srl has its saffron and honey production center in Brunello – Dondana, 550 meters above sea level, about 12 kilometers from Gubbio, of which the last 2 can only be done on foot or with an off-road vehicle, but the effort is worth it as from there you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the vertical walls of Monte Cucco. The saffron plantation can be visited from mid-October to the end of May (the period of vegetation of the saffron plants with the splendid flowering which, however, lasts only 3/4 weeks between mid-October and mid-November). Instead, in the months of June, July and August you can observe the three phases of processing (the uprooting and storage of the saffron bulbs in June, the preparation of the soil in July, the planting of the bulbs at the end of August).
