First day
Our itinerary starts from Piazza IV Novembre to discover Perugia, with the Cathedral of San Lorenzo, the Palazzo dei Priori, the Sala dei Notari and the Collegio del Cambio, and the National Gallery of Umbria. This houses one of the richest collections of Renaissance art in the world.
You will be able to treat yourself to a delicious lunch in one of the restaurants in the city, enjoying the exquisite torta al testo (a sort of low flat bread baked on a “testo”, i.e. a cast iron plate) stuffed with butchery and Umbrian cured meats, all accompanied with a good glass of Sagrantino di Montefalco.
In the afternoon the experience continues with Perugia Underground, to discover the city within the city, the ancient walls and acropolis of the Etruscan and then Roman eras and ends with a chocolate tasting.

Second day
After a hearty breakfast we reach Assisi, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its beauty and spirituality. Birthplace of St. Francis, Assisi is dominated by the spectacular 12th-century basilica dedicated to him. We will walk along the streets of the city to discover its wonders, from the splendid palaces, to the Torre del Popolo and Piazza del Comune with the Temple dedicated to Minerva, to the Basilica of Santa Chiara and the Cathedral of San Rufino, to the House of San Francesco.

After having filled up on harmony, we return to Perugia for a walk at sunset along the unmissable Via dell’Acquedotto. This ancient engineering project that once conveyed water to the Fontana Maggiore, today connects the historic center with the village of Porta Sant’Angelo, through a suggestive hanging path, bordered by houses and hidden gardens, where the street lamps give off a amber, giving a particularly suggestive atmosphere.

Third day
Our last day in Umbria takes us today to discover Lake Trasimeno, dotted with beautifully preserved medieval towns and a very popular destination for birdwatchers and fishing enthusiasts. On these shores life flows slowly and for those who love relaxation and tranquillity, this is the ideal place.
Castiglione del Lago and Passignano sul Trasimeno offer splendid views and it is wonderful to sip a drink, admiring the wonderful colors of the sky, which are reflected on the lake at any time of the day and especially at sunset. The hilltop villages such as Panicale are also worth a visit, full of small shops where you can go shopping for typical products, true Umbrian excellences. From the glimpses overlooking the valley, you will be able to observe the rows of perfectly spaced olive trees, in a unique setting. If your passion is good food, the lake will thrill you, thanks to the Slow food products such as saffron from Città della Pieve and the Gamay vine, which gave rise to the Colli del Trasimeno Wine Road, which welcomes visitors with itineraries for discover the wine and the territory.
