The Tipografia Grifani-Donati of Città di Castello is located in Corso Cavour, in the historic center of the city, in the rooms above the former church of San Paolo from 1237. The printing house, halfway between a museum and a cultural institution, also becomes a place to admire antique machinery in perfect working order, space to set up thematic exhibitions, cultural initiatives, laboratory in which to learn techniques that would otherwise be lost.

Tipografia Grifani Donati, founded in 1799, the only one among such ancient companies to still be active today, has in recent years become the obligatory point of reference for the process of cultural valorization of the typographical heritage in Città di Castello.

The Studio Moretti Caselli was founded in 1859-60 by the painter and master glassmaker Francesco Moretti, in collaboration with his nephew Lodovico Caselli. The atelier is located in the ancient 15th century building, which belonged to the Baglioni family, which later became the seat of the Sapienza Nuova university college.

It is a museum-archive-laboratory, with an adjoining library, which still maintains its nineteenth-century appearance today; inside, the wall decorations and furnishings of the two large rooms are in neo-Gothic style.

Upon the death of the founders, the atelier has found continuity to this day through the female line, starting from Rosa and Cecilia Caselli to Anna Matilde Falsettini and her daughters Maddalena and Elisabetta Forenza.

Among the works on display, the portrait of Queen Margherita created by the founder stands out, demonstrating the expressive potential of this technique that combines light and color.

In the fascinating and unique context of the Church of San Francesco delle Donne in Perugia, the memory of ancient weaving techniques is preserved, with where timeless fabrics are still created today which carry with them the history of art and the Umbrian territory.

The Atelier Giuditta Brozzetti Museum is one of the last hand weaving workshops in Italy where it is possible to admire ancient looms from the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries and learn about their history.

A story not only of techniques, but also of the decorative motifs already present in the paintings of Giotto, Ghirlandaio, up to Leonardo da Vinci: an ancient story that has come down to today thanks to female work and the figure of Giuditta Brozzetti, who at the beginning of the twentieth century he founded the laboratory/school with the intention of giving new life to the glorious Umbrian textile tradition.
